"THE YINN Still Proud In Their Culture"
(18th to 20th January, 2013)
Gallery 65 presents a photo exhibition of the Yinn people documented by Photographer Kyaw Kyaw Win (Swaitawyeik). The Yinns are one of the many ethinic groups that live in Myanmar. Most of the Yinn tribes are found around Namsan Township in Southern Shan State. At the latest census, there were only around a few thousand Yinn but however small they may be, the Yinn people still proudly treasure and preserve their customs and traditions. This photo exhibit is a record of their daily lives as well as their beliefs and customs.
